Domino's Fantasy Football 2011 Season is Mine!!

Assalamualaikum,

First and foremost, I would like to say Alhamdulillah for Allah the most gracious and the most merciful. Finally, the English Premier League 2010/11 Season has come to the end 2 weeks ago and I'm split between two. Firstly, the bad thing is Liverpool didn't manage to get a hold of European game next season which leave the league, the FA cup and the Carling cup up for grab. Well the didn't play well for the last two games making them drop to sixth place which doesn't gave them chance for a place for Europe.

Ok, enough for Liverpool. One of the best thing in my life happened for the past year during the season is the Domino's Fantasy Football game! Alhamdulillah after one year of strive, stress and strain, I managed to get the first place for the game. It is certainly not because the fact that I'm smart, it just a bit of luck that Allah have given me to won this contest. The last game of the season is really a heart-pumping game for me as I've never been so serious knowing the football results. Well, though I didn't watch the game due to my friends' team, Arsenal game was not broadcast live on Astro that day, so I only watch the game scores every minute with my lappy from Livescore.com and Futbol24.com. Well the players that I've selected was a bit different from the second place, Sze Khai Wong (SKW) and so I always get adrenaline injected to my nerves every single minute. Well this is my team selection and the SKW team selection.

As we can see there are some differences in the team line-up. I wouldn't want to say it all so just take a look at it and see the difference. All the matches ended out of my expectations. I start outlining the points for the players for my team and the SKW team from the beginning. Any changes as for the goals, yellow card, red card and goal conceded is being calculated with any defenders and goalkeeper who didn't concede any goal yet will be put in clean sheet position.

At one time, I thought that I would lose when van Persie scored a goal. I had removed him from my team as I hope that Tevez will score a goal or 2 but it not happened. But f rom my calculation, I'm still safe. Anyhow, I wouldn't want to tell every minute in detail, as it will take hours for me to type and I'm kind of getting lazy to type. What I would like to tell is that I've won the season with a difference of just 4 points and the key player of my winning was Joe Hart, Man City's goal keeper. I'm really lucky as SKW had removed Hart from his team by replacing him with Van de Sar. Soooo lucky of me!!! I could say that leads to my victory and right now I'm still waiting for the call and email from Domino's Pizza to confirm my winning as well as the RM10k giving ceremony which I'm certainly there will be a prize giving ceremony for it and I hope I could  attend it as I didn't went to the previous ceremony for the first monthly winner of the competition although papers have been putting my name for it.

So that's all for this season, I hope that I could enter the next season game. I expected a much more competitive game and I will just hope for the best for next season. If Domino's Pizza is willing to give another 10k or much expensive prize, I'll be willingly to join it next season. Wallahua'lam

Kini tinggal 2 gameweek sahaja lagi..

Dengan beza markah yang tidak berapa pasti kerana pihak admin yang sering lambat update websitenya, sekarang sudah tidak pasti adakah akan dapat mengekalkan posisi di kedudukan pertama atau tidak, tidaklah ia menjadi kegusaran yang terlampau kerana ia hanyalah keduniaan semata-mata tetapi masih berharap agar impian menjadi kenyataan.

Mula-mula masuk dulu sebab rasa bosan lepas tengok Fantasy Premier League menawarkan hadiah yang sukar digapai, yela satu dunia masuk dan aku ni jenis yang kurang tengok bola dan main dah sekarang, lebih kepada menganalisis perlawanan dan melihat dari jauh, maklumlah rasa diri ni sibuk je.(takde la sangat sebenarnya)

Kemudian suka-suka buka website dominos pizza sedangkan takde nak beli pun, suka-suka je. Tetapi dalam belek2 website tu (boleh belek k?), ternampak satu iklan dekat satu kotak ruang dalam website tu yang menarik perhatian...



Boleh try main ni, mana tahu ada rezeki. Rasa macam tu sebab pertandingan ni terbuka pada mereka yang duduk kat Malaysia je, komuniti Malaysia yang main benda2 macam ni memanglah ramai kalau tengok kat Fantasy Premier League (FPL), tapi melihat kepada jumlah contestant yang baru 20 lebih je, peluang dirasakan amatlah luas.

Bermula la bermain dengan serius, konsep pemarkahan juga berlainan dengan FPL antaranya, assist goal tidak akan dikira, yang menjadi perkara penting di sini ialah gol yang berjaya dijaringkan termasuklah jumlah gol yang bolos dan clean sheet. Sejak itu bermulalah permainan ini. Meletak pemain yang dirasakan akan menjaringkan gol dengan banyak atau sekurang-kurangya satu memberi cabaran, maklumlah dah lama tak tengok bola dan ambil tahu keputusan setiap minggu, yang ambil tahu bila permainan antara kelab2 besar je.

Namun begitu, tidak sangka rezeki berpihak pada diri, bulan September mencatat sejarah bagi diriku kerana dinobatkan sebagai juara bulanan yang mana hadiah yang dapat seperti gambar di atas. Alhamdulillah, rezeki yang tidak disangka-sangka.



Lebih kurang 3 minggu selepas itu, pihak Dominos Pizza telefon dan mengucapkan tahniah kerana berjaya menjadi juara bulan September dan akan diadakan satu majlis bagi memberi hadiah trofi kerana menjadi juara pertama pertandingan ini.

Gembira amat dirasai tetapi apakan daya, majlis itu dijalankan pada hari Selasa, 26 Oktober ketika aku sedang menghadapi mid-semester 5 exam subjek Parasitology. Bagi menggantikan aku untuk mengambil hadiah yang ingin diberi, aku meminta junior ku Najmee kerana dia suka makan pizza dan dijangka mestilah banyak pizza yang akan dimasak untuk hari tu, dah nama kedai pizza kan? Tapi kesian kat dia tak sempat makan pizza kerana kena mengahadiri English presentation petang itu juga. Sorry bro.

Kemudiannya, aku bersemangat untuk mendapatkan hadiah juara bulanan yang berikutnya (tamak2,he3) tetapi memang bukan rezeki ku kali ini, aku hanya berjaya mendapat tempat ke-12 sahaja bagi bulan Oktober, namun tetap gembira kerana housemate ku yang memenangi juara bulanan kali ini,Alhamdulillah..yeah!!....bersambung (kalau rajin nak tulis,he3)
